Home Surveys

Home Surveys – underpinning your financial investment

Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest financial decisions that most people make in their lifetime. Understanding the condition and value of a property prior to buying or selling is essential for making a transaction successful.

Gain invaluable insight

Surveys provide invaluable information to buyers and, in the case of the condition report, sellers too.

There are three types of recognised Home Survey available for your home according to the RICS:

  1. Level 1 Home Survey (previously RICS Condition report)
  2. Level 2 Home Survey (previously RICS Homebuyers report)
  3. Level 3 Home Survey (previously RICS Building report)

These detailed assessments of the property will give you peace of mind that you have a full and accurate picture when entering into any property transaction.

A thorough investigation on your behalf

As a completely neutral party, independent surveyors Frobishers act in your interests. When working with us you can be certain you will receive detailed reports, explaining issues in layman’s terms containing photographic evidence of any faults identified, so you can see exactly what we’re talking about.

Before you instruct us, we agree upon a timescale for the report, we will provide you with a detailed description of the service we’re going to provide and an example of how the report will be structured.

We will handle arranging the appointment, either with the selling agent or vendor, letting you know when the surveyor will be attending.

Once you are in receipt of your report, we’ll offer you the opportunity to discuss the survey in detail with the surveyor who carried it out so that you fully understand anything we’ve mentioned, so you will be in possession of all the facts before you proceed.
